This was made for 's weekly contest.

Ok, other than that stock, the only reference that i used was from one of my books called "The Chinese Brush Painting Bible". You can see what i'm talking about here [link]

The characters in black (老虎夏天 ) are in Chinese. Its supposed to read 'Tiger Summer", which if your paying attention, its the title of this deviation.

I'm calling it tiger summer because of the description the book gave for bamboo.
"BAMBOO The four plants collectively know as the Four Gentlemen are the most popular subjects for teaching the fundamental skills of Chinese brush painting. Bamboo symbolizes strength, peace, and summer. It seemed like a fitting title.

The seal (the red oval) is supposed to have my name or a proverb/saying closely associated with the artist. Its usually in Chinese, but i cheated and used the Japanese translation of Black 黒 and Sun 太陽 because that is one of the names I go by and i usually write it in Japanese....plus the Chinese translation of Black Sun is 黑色星期日 which I personally think is very long and wouldn't have been that practical for this digital piece.

Please forgive me for being a dumb American.

Also, sorry to all of you that can read Chinese if the Characters are wrong. I got the translation from the program Sherlock on my mac and don't speak Chinese and can not check it on my own.

If you see issues on either language, please let me know so i can fix it.
